Lessons on Living.

Definitely not one of my best works, but it kind of reflects what I am going through right now.

The world you're born in is a lie,

Where since the day you begin to be,

You're fed with fairytales to rely,

And call this life your destiny.

But as you grow up and the years unfurl,

You realise that everything that you've known since long,

Are stories of a make believe world,

And that they don't fit in in this place so wrong.

Your trust in others loses its essence,

And the love of your life breaks your heart,

Everything goes wrong all at once,

And life as you knew it, is torn apart.

So you go place to place and search for the reason,

Where was it that you went wrong?

You curse yourself for what you've done,

And blame the world to which you don't belong.

But sooner or later you have to face what's true,

That the notion of happiness is very bleak,

Everyone here is going to try and hurt you,

Every little thing is going to leave you weak.

But you have to be brave and face it all,

You have to learn how to stand alone,

You have to pick up the pieces that fall,

And learn to create a new world of your own.

You have to learn to get up every time you collapse,

And learn how to trust knowing it just might break,

And learn to take chances and also give some perhaps,

And learn to forgive yourself, mistake after mistake.

Then maybe, this realisation will exclaim,

That the world we live in is made up of flaws,

And everything in it is a reflection of the same,

And the only perfect thing is Santa Claus!

But it is not such a bad place to live,

And you can be happy in this world so shallow,

And you'll learn that it is not hard to forgive,

Once you learn how to just let go...
